In today’s interconnected world, where complex issues transcend borders, the intersection of scientific progress and societal needs has never been more critical. Climate change, biodiversity loss, and emerging health threats demand innovative solutions that bridge the gap between research laboratories and public policy. This necessitates a new generation of scientists who can effectively communicate their findings and actively participate in shaping sustainable policies at local, national, and international levels. To address this, our summer school, From Science to Action: Shaping sustainable and informed policy, aims to equip early-career scientists and engineers with the tools and insights needed to engage meaningfully with society beyond their research environments.
